Bateman Steele Translation reserves the right to reject any work without explanation. 

Offers will be made on a no obligation basis. 

All bills will be sent to the client by e-mail and should be settled within 14 working days. 

The client has no entitlement to refuse full payment in the event of mistakes present within the work.  Although a discount may be agreed upon if there are many mistakes and Bateman Steele Translation considers a discount a suitable option.

 

The terms and conditions

 

1. Rates

Rates are to be arranged between Bateman Steele Translation and the client in advance.  If changes are made to the texts or deadline, additional charges may apply. Quotes are tailored to the full text.

 

2. Payments 

Fees should be received in full, no later than 2 working weeks after the date of invoice, unless otherwise agreed.  Some projects may require payment in instalments.  In the event of an overdue payment, Bateman Steele Translation reserves the right to halt current projects until the payment is made.

 

3. Format

Finished translations are sent to the client by e-mail, as a word document or pdf file. Any other formats must be agreed upon in advance and may result in additional charges. Style and layout of the translation is not included in the service.

 

4. Deadlines

Bateman Steele Translation must have had access to the full text for the deadline to be binding.  The deadline may be changed if any alterations are made to the text after quote approval by the client.

 

5. Project cancellations

Any cancellations of large projects by the client results in the client paying Bateman Steele Translation for work completed up until the cancellation date, unless otherwise agreed.

 

6. Liability

Bateman Steele Translation is not liable for the content of translated documents and accepts no responsibility for the accurate translation of legal documents or legalese.

Bateman Steele Translation accepts no responsibility for the loss of, or damage to documents in transit i.e. electronic / postal delivery / interception of documents.  After delivery, Bateman Steele Translation is not liable for changes made to the text or the consequences of these changes.

 

7. Confidentiality

Bateman Steele Translation treats all documents provided by the client as confidential and will not disclose this information to third parties without the client’s permission, unless required by law. However, Bateman Steele Translation reserves the right to contact other professionals about terminology or linguistic matters, without disclosure of confidential material.

 

8. Quality issues

Bateman Steele Translation endeavours to provide accurate work.  The client has no entitlement to refuse full payment in the event of mistakes present within the work.  Although a discount may be agreed upon if there are many mistakes and Bateman Steele Translation considers a discount a suitable option.
